The quant recruitment
agency for trading firms.
QuantFlow recruits quantitative researchers, quant developers, quant traders and low-latency engineers for prop trading firms, market makers and hedge funds. Based in Amsterdam, hiring across Europe.
Why a specialist quant recruiter.
Quant hiring fails in predictable ways: a spec that mixes research and production work, a shortlist judged on credentials instead of evidence, an offer that ignores how the 30% ruling changes net pay. A generalist agency sends CVs. We know the firms, the strategies they run and what each seat pays this quarter.
Amsterdam is Europe's densest trading hub, home to firms like Optiver, IMC, Flow Traders and Da Vinci. We are based here and know the people who work in it.
The roles we recruit.
Quant researchers
Alpha research, signal design and portfolio construction. We assess statistical rigour and how candidates test their own results, not only the PhD on the CV.
Systematic and discretionary research, alpha and execution research, ML research
Quant developers
The engineers who turn research into production: pricing libraries, backtesting frameworks, research infrastructure and the trading stack around them.
C++, Python and Rust developers, research platform and data engineers
Quant traders
Traders who run and improve systematic strategies, from graduate intakes to senior traders who can show ownership of a live book.
Market making, options and delta-one, crypto trading desks
Low-latency engineers
Specialists who measure in microseconds: exchange connectivity, kernel bypass, FPGA and the profiling work that keeps a strategy competitive.
Low-latency C++, FPGA, network and systems engineers
What does a quant recruitment agency do?
A quant recruitment agency finds and assesses candidates for quantitative roles at trading firms: researchers, developers, traders and the engineers around them. A specialist agency knows which firms run which strategies, what each seat pays and how to test candidates technically, which a generalist recruiter usually cannot.
Which firms does QuantFlow recruit for?
Proprietary trading firms, market makers, hedge funds, crypto exchanges and crypto trading firms, mainly in the Netherlands and across Europe. Named placements are available on request under NDA.
Do you only recruit in Amsterdam?
No. We are based in Amsterdam, Europe’s densest trading hub, and hire across Europe with a focus on Amsterdam, London and Zurich. We also help foreign trading firms hire their first people when they open a Netherlands office.
How do you work: retained or success-based?
Both. Success-based (no cure, no pay) for most permanent hires, retained executive search for senior and confidential roles, and a monthly retainer when a firm wants an embedded partner for a larger hiring plan.
How do you assess quant candidates?
Every candidate is screened before you see them: a technical conversation about their actual work, a read on how they fit your team and references. We use AI to map the market quickly; people decide who is a fit.
